Questions people ask.
What are electrolytes, and why do people take them when they sweat?
Electrolytes are minerals such as sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium. Sweat contains water and electrolytes, mainly sodium, which is why electrolyte drink mixes exist. Hydrate Me contains all four, named on the label.
Is water enough when I train in Bali's heat?
For short, easy sessions many people find water is fine. For long or hot sessions, people often add electrolytes. Needs differ from person to person, so if you're unsure, ask your doctor or a dietitian.
What should I look for in an electrolyte drink mix?
Check three things: the ingredients and amounts are fully listed, whether it has added sugar, and whether it is registered in your country. Hydrate Me lists all eight ingredients with amounts, has no added sugar, and is P-IRT registered.
Where does the salt in Hydrate Me come from?
Sea salt. Each 10 g serving has 300 mg of sea salt, as listed on the label.
Does Hydrate Me have added sugar?
No. Hydrate Me's registered formula has no added sugar.
How is it different from a sports drink or plain coconut water?
Many sports drinks contain added sugar. Coconut water naturally contains potassium. Hydrate Me is a coconut water powder with added sea salt, magnesium and calcium and no added sugar, so you can see every amount on the label.
How do I use Hydrate Me?
Add 10 g (one serving) to 250 ml or more of water or your favourite beverage. Shake well. Store below 30°C in a dry place.
What does it taste like?
Lemon lime, made from lemon and lime powders with coconut water. One customer says: "It doesn't have a strong artificial taste. I like the more natural and subtle flavor."
I sweat a lot. How do I know how much I need?
Sweat loss differs from person to person, so we won't give one number for everyone. A common way to estimate yours is to weigh yourself before and after a session. Compare your needs with the label, and ask a doctor or dietitian if unsure.
Is Hydrate Me registered, and how can I check?
Hydrate Me holds P-IRT registration 7105102010234-30, valid to 23 August 2030. P-IRT is Indonesia's registration for home-industry food; it is not a BPOM MD number. Check it at sppirt.pom.go.id/cek-sppirt with No. SPPIRT 710510201023430.
Who should not use Hydrate Me?
Not for children, pregnant women or breastfeeding women. If you have a medical condition or take medication, ask your doctor first.
Where is it made, and do you ship across Indonesia?
Hydrate Me is manufactured in Bali. Shipping is free across Indonesia, with delivery in 2 to 3 days in Bali and 3 to 7 days in the rest of Indonesia. Outside Indonesia, shipping is calculated at checkout.
